Was actually able to burn all the wet snow covered slash, and there was a lot of it.
Got a good fire with big coals going using dry wood, then added to that. Of course, forced air doesn't hurt.  :smt002
Decided to trim the fruitless mulberry while I was at it and burn that too.
The oak was solid, no rot, no hollow spot.
It's the lack of rain we had that has weakened all of the trees.
When trimming the fruitless mulberry, the healthy limbs I cut off snapped when I bent them instead of bending.
They are burning like they were seasoned wood. And yes, the tree is healthy and alive.
So be careful if you live in snow country. There's a good chance your trees are stressed too from the lack of rain.

Percocet, and a few Kahulas, Frangelico and cream is helping.
Enough of a break.  Back to the grind.

Wow... glad no people/vehicles were involved... I had a friend years ago in Lake County, had an oak tree fall smack in the middle of his Toyota pickup - just flattened it out beyond recognition. Sadly, the insurance company chalked it up to 'Act of God' and didn't do much for him, if anything.
