TARPON 160 ANGLER

Hi everyone

I have the opportunity to buy a closeout wilderness system Tarpon 160 with rudder in Santa Rosa for under $1000 brand new. Is this a good deal? Just as a reminder I am 6' 4'' 240 pounds and I want to be able to use it on different bodies of water from the Russian River to the coast. And any feed back would be appreciated

How much under a grand? I have an Ocean Kayak Trident 15 with a Humminbird 728 for 850.00

MSRP for that boat is almost $1500 as a Tarpon Angler W/rudder. Under a grand new is a good deal on that boat. At your size it would be fine. It will feel tippy at first till you get used to the secondary stability. PM Ariel about the stability and paddler size. 1 day on the water and you will be fine. Very easy to paddle and gets from A to B very efficiently. Pair it with a lightweight paddle and you will be able to paddle all day and not be totally wiped out. Not as a good of a deal as Craig's at $850 with FF.
