I'm heading up to pacifica tomorrow to pull some pots I have soaking. I've never fished there so I was wondering if I should go paddle north or south to look for some ling?

South around the  point if  the  weather  is  still holding and  it looks  like it  is.

You doing a shore launch?  It's an easy outward launch from Linda Mar in the morning with the waves getting bigger by the afternoon.  Make sure you strap everything down when coming back in!  Personal "screw up" experience.
