That is cool.  I had given up on using Sabiki because of the snags although I still carry one with me in case I find myself in a big bait ball, I just don't use it.  It was just too much trouble snagging my wet suit, game bag, and everthing else.  Being a tinkerer, I like the idea and may have to give it a try.  Stolen idea or not, I am going to run with it now.

Randy made a PVC sabiki rod for me a couple of years ago.  It was so heavy I was reluctant to use it.  So, for my birthday he gave me a commercially built one.  It is light and pleasant to use.

I think that plastic navy page is a few years old and predates chuckE's work. could be wrong tho.
