Yesterday we made the 12 hour drive back from Humboldt down to LA.  :smt010

This morning after my church gig (organist) I walked outside to see 80 degrees, bright sun, with practically no wind.  It was too beautiful to pass up.  I had to go fishing!  :smt007

PLAN: Throw the hobie back on the Prius, head to Cabrillo harbor on the inside, catch lizardfish for bait, target halibut.  :smt004  I was OTW at 2:30 -- it was beautiful, light breeze from the west. I fished until dusk.

RESULT: One short halibut (on plastic, released), One legal sculpin (scorpion fish) also released, and a bucket full of lizard fish (OK 4 - one used for bait).  The sculpin was a surprise.   :smt005

And a stunning Cabrillo sunset.   :smt004

While I would much rather be on Stone Lagoon -- this was certainly a fun way to spend the afternoon.   :smt044

Detonate the reality bomb.
