Good looking fish.

Was it really bare-legged weather? I keep seeing "small craft advisory" when I check the weather report.

Yes it was .  Nice red, I was the one in the red hobie.  After the Dfw checked us it went crazy for me in 50 ft of water right outside of you.   Every bait got wacked.  Got 5 real nice cod and a fat ass ling as well.  Had a couple brutes either snap my line or run and got stuck in a hole.  Dam the ocean was alive today, more action going on than you could shake a stick at...

That's awesome!  What kind of bait were you using Jerry?  I haven't strayed from using my b2 squids and have luck off and on...stoked to hear you were slayin em!

I had some frozen sardines and some whole frozen squid.  Got them from ranch 99.  Great place to get bait by the way.  It sure was nice out there, but dam a whole lot of seals....

good for you guys..I was loaded with my gear and on the other end of the bay at sunrise off asilomar-lovers point..it was VERY windy and high black colored seas -breakers rolling in on the rocks and just nasty...first time I ever drank my coffee started the car and went back home...first couch day since buying a kayak ha....saturday was about the same but i fished and limited...glad to hear you guys were catching them and nice weather there...hard to believe it was really Friday as it was pretty awful down on my end...Sunday was very nice though with a limit and a nice vermillion by lunch by MB kayaks at the yellow cans...great picture and report
Squid is working down here for me better than lures or anchovy
