RS 08/27/06

On the water at 7:30am, off at 11:30am. Saw one other boat on the lake.
Morning started real slow. Fish must have been sleeping late 'cuz they didn't want to hit anything. Tried all my usual hot spots for nothing. I decided to make the best of the situation, so I put down the rod and did some studying. Cruised along the shoreline real slow and stopped over a few locations to watch the fish. The water is so clear I could sit and watch them cruise under and around the kayak. First and largest fish of the day was caught around 9am on a 4" cinnamon senko.  Caught three more on the same and one on a 5" pumpkin senko.

Damn, wish I saw your invite sooner, those are big fish!  Good job!

Yep, I posted kind of late. Wanted to pass on the invite anyway.

Alfedo, when it comes to Bass and RS: "You da man". You have serious 'ownage' for that fisherie. Damn fine fishing as always. I'm afraid to go there ever now  because I doubt I'll even catch one and I'll be shamed

Thanks, but I just get lucky once in a while. Studing the lake helps a little too.
As you can tell by all the pics of my left hand, I usually fish alone. Join me sometime, I'd enjoy the company.

BTW..I think this lake would be great for a mbf tourney. Maybe next spring for the big pre-spawn fish or a night derby.

Nice job. Just out of curiosity, What lake were you fishing? I am running RS through my worn out brain and nothing is coming up.

Al! you do it right!Once Again,monday morning ENVY All I could do for:two lakes/two days=10hrs total=2- 12" and 1- 14" .I am getting my hammer&chisel out and "etching in stone" THIS SATURDAY and into the night!Does it get crazy there on the Labor day wkend?if so,I DONT CARE!I'll get crazy too!,AL-STYLE,on some BASS! "PLAN A-1" is in FULL EFFECT!

Fishunter: The day use area may get busy but the lake never has high traffic. No power boats. Let me know if/when your going.

Sounds good. Pumpkin and other dark senkos seem to work best for me.
