Headed up to Mendocino for the weekend to meet up with some buddies of mine for some ab diving. Wanted to meet up with the Muggles at TC but had these prior arrangements.

Took my time getting up there stopped along the way to do some wine tasting and brought my Anderson Valley growler along to fill for some post dive festivities  :smt003

Finally arrived around 3 PM in the afternoon and took my time suiting up since I was still feeling the affects of the wine  :smt002

By the time I entered the water I was clear headed and ready for diving. The vis was about 15 feet and the ocean was like a lake.

Got my limit pretty fast in about 15 FOW and headed in to hang with my buddies and enjoy a cold one  :beer1

Ended up with two 8-1/4 and one 8-3/4 abs.

Another beautiful day on the Pacific...got to love it  :smt007

I guess my phone was turned off... again  :smt011 J/K

Looks like a great day, too bad I missed that good vis. I still need to get the weight belt worked out for the new wetsuit.

That is a good day in and out of the water Antonio.  Do you see any sea urchin there on your dives?

Thanks Gino.....it was nice seeing you again at Mooch's Memorial.

That is a good day in and out of the water Antonio.  Do you see any sea urchin there on your dives?

Jonathan,

There was a lot of uni.....actually very large patches containing hundreds. But they were smaller in size maybe 3 inches in diameter. They were the violet looking ones not the purplish brown ones. I took along a separate game bag to collect some but decided against it. I should have taken one just to check out the roe and flavor.

Congrats on the limit of abs Antonio.

Thanks Jedmo  :smt006

Antonio, nothing like a little saltwater therapy and snails to "clear" the head.  WTG.  Was the Lil' Leopard Shark still cruzeing  around the south channel?? I wonder if it is the same one that was hanging out last year at this time.
