Rock cod rig

My girlfriend got me a pre tied rock cod leader that is ten foot long but consists of 5 hooks (one spaced every two foot. It looks just like any rock cod leader you buy at the store with a weight snap on the bottom but I have never seen one with five hooks. Is this even legal to use?  I know I need to freshen up on my DFG regs but I trout I read last year that you can only have two hooks.
Any help on this would be great. If it is legal I would love to give it a try and go for a double ling hook up

Two hook limit.  The "old school" 4-5 hook rigs on party boats are a thing of the past.

I went rock fishing about 4 years ago for the first time in 10 years and Fish and game were at the ramp and noticed that i had 3 flies on the rod, he told me that if there was any fish on board i would have received a ticket.
He told me that those flies have been history for many years.
The ones that you buy at the store have 2 flies in case you want to use a weight on the button otherwise you have to cut one out to be legal.
