  . Well not there yet. I am hitting the big 5...0.. this mid December. Considering fishing lake McClure or New Melones for trout. I am leaning towards  New Melones. Advise, Pros and Cons welcomed. I do have a friend that has a place for me and my Pops to stay at bagsby at McClure.( He is 73 and doing great  )

Or, plan B is to rent a hotel room in Sonora and fish the backside of New Melones.

Then there is the dilemma of car top aluminum or tow my 15 foot aluminum. Towing would be so much easier.

Thanks for any advise. Youtube shows some good fishing at New Melones.

Where, Fishing or recovering from fishing... Trout, Still a bit warm Fish are deep and need some rain. Going soon? Minimize costs... skunks don't hurt as bad that way Plan early and late fishing...
