From the picture of the beer and the counter in the first set, I think you may have stopped at the foot of Redwood Street in Fort Bragg - at a great little place called Piaci Pub and Pizza, Home of the Adult Pizza.
That's the place alright. I tried to google the name of the beer and it just hit me. Racer 5. Good stuff. I enjoy that place every time I'm passing through. Food looked great and think I had a pizza last time. The duck sausages were soooo tempting.

Laundry is running. Let's continue on..
Up the 101 I go. On a mission to get to my old stomping grounds, Medford Or. Passing through Eureka, Arcata, McKinleyville, Trinidad and through Orick where I saw some Monster bulls and a bunch cows. I'm starting to get the itch. I miss bowhunting for Elk. My buddies every yet post their bulls on FB. Luck badtards.
In crescent city I take the 199 East to follow the Smith Ricer Scenic Byway. This summer I  stayed at a resort along the Smith. Nice place. Old as dirt but good times. I'm on that mission. Passing through Cave Junction and Grants Pass I head for a buddies place to take a shower and meet up with a friend for a cocktail. I was welcome to stay at his house but I wanted to camp before the worst storm since the 60's hits the Oregon coast. 80 mph winds and 5" of rain in the forecast. Umm yeah. Ill camp now and then use my credits up at friends houses if need be.
I grew up in the Applegate Valley on 20 acres. I miss it back there. Everything back home seems much smaller now. The mountains, the valleys and the lakes. I've seen so much in my life at the ripe age of 36. I made it above the waterfalls above Applegate Lake. One of my partyin spots when I was in high school. Set up camp at 2:30am by the light of a latern. It was warm that night. Warm enough that I kept the fly on the tent open all night but cool enough that there wasn't any Mosquitos. Amen.
The next morning I heated up some water and used my Aerobie coffee maker to brew up some choice grounds. Also warmed up some kipper snacks. Live those things with a little Meyers lemon juice and some toast or crackers.
Packed up once again and headed into town to my buddies place to wish him a happy early bday. I was greeted with a shot of whiskey and a cold one. He's got a keeper of a woman that's for sure. Setup the 1984 never before used Airforce parachute for a little protection from the elements. Changed clothes and headed to Jacksonville for Oktoberfest. Great sausages with kraut and mustard. Many fine brews and horrible music. Perfect.
The storm was kickin up up and the wind was pretty crazy. They didn't have much for food at the ranch house so I broke out some chicken I had marinating for a few days and the last of RF. I BBQd up the chicken and fish and grabbed the bottle of white wine out of the rig and whipped up a roasted garlic butter wine sauce. Hell yeah I killed it. They accompanied the dishes with a rice plate, garlic bread, salad and lots more booze. Good times with great friends. I crashed at their house and skinned out the next morning after playing with his litter of Cane Corsos. Probably spelled that wrong.
The rain was falling but I wanted to fish a couple spots I know. So I drive up hwy 62 through shady cove along the upper Rogue River. Stopping to watch some steelhead roll at KC park
I didn't stay long cause I wanted to fish the upper part of Lost Creek Lake. I've got a spot my GPA use to take me when I was just old enough to cast a fly rod. Awesome fishing but not exactly this day. It was wet. Miserable and a nasty climb out of the canyon. I had lost my micro tech knife earlier that summer on the bank and I wanted to wait till the water level dropped and get back in there to find it. I searched for about 30 mins. No go and fishing was no good due to the conditions.
Back at the rig I changed my soaking wet clothes and cranked on the heater to dry all my stuff off on the front seat. Drove up 62 passed Diamond Lake and Crater Lake to later hit hwy 97. Headed North to Bend where I would stop at the local strip club to see an old gf and meet up with my good buddy Pete. Pete and I use to do everything from cow penn to duck hunt to fly fish the Steens Mtns. Good times. Couple cocktails and some great scenery I made a friend that would later lead to the amazing day I had yesterday.
Gotta load up the rig and check the laundry. Tbc..
