Figured I would throw it out there. Sorry it's such short notice. Going to launch at the point to troll and cast for trout. it's 3pm now, I should be up there by 4pm.

I found myself in the vicinity this morning so I drove in to check it out. First got there and saw not much activity. Then saw a few patches of surface activity. watched the shad start breezing then a fish or two or five would blow up on them. saw some impressive dorsal fins too. by the time I left you could not count one thousand one with out seeing 10 different blow-ups in any given second around the next barely submerged hump off the point. the fish seemed to have the shad balled up against the shoal and are having their way with 'em. Its gonna be a good one this evening.

We'll be there tomorrow at 2pm. Whiskeytown is shut down so I've moved our Wednesday fishing trip to Shasta.
