19 September – Kayak Maintenance and Repair

Hey Folks - our seminar this month will focus on kayak maintenance and repair.  Jeff Martineau (CCK store manager) and his staff and colleagues will lead the discussion.   Emphasis will be on Hobie mirage drive kayaks, with some additional info more widely applicable to all plastic kayaks.  Jeff and team will cover maintenance and repair of Hobie Mirage drives and rudder systems, plus a section on plastic repair.  Jeff and his team are very knowledgeable, helpful and  supportive with repair and manintenance issues so should be fun and informative. 

Post-up if there are other topics of interest, I can see if we can add them to the agenda.

Please post-up if you will attend the seminar so we can get a rough idea of numbers.  We’ll fire up the grill, BBQ some man-dogs and do it up NCKA potluck style.  CCK will provide the man-dogs and fixings, plates and utensils, and water. Potluck will start at 6:30 and we’ll get the seminar started around 7 PM. Hope to see you there

Any interest from all the Hobie folks?  If not, one of my Mirage drives needs some tuning from all the ocean salmon trolling this year so maybe I'll just bring my boat in for a demo tune-up that evening!
