I am organizing a bachelor party in late August for ten people.  It was decided that we are going out on a fishing charter for one of our events.

Does anyone recommend a particular charter company?  The only caveat we have is that it must be out of SF (Fisherman's Wharf, I think).  I thought of another caveat: I don't want to eat the shit out of the bay, so I am looking for a charter that will go out in the ocean.

Suggestions?

Thanks, Sean

I'm not sure of the exact name of the website, but I think it's SFsportfishing.com. It list all the party boats docked at fishermans wharf and their information.

Cpt. Ted who operates the Miss Farallones would give you a decent quote for a charter. Though his boat is kinda slow. He's knows some really good spots for rockfish, that are outside the bay. He'll probably do a combo trip, if you wanted to. Rockfish first then mooch for salmon.

Good luck in your search.

My good buddy talks Jessie on the radio every time we go out and I think he's good. Two saturdays ago we followed him up north an got large limits. He's been skippering the Butchy B. for Butch alot, out of S.F. I believe he ties up next to Wacky Jackie who is also popular but I don't think the results be be as good as Jessie's. Compare the scores in thursdays Chron. Our favorite is Robert on the El Doarado out of Berkeley. If you're going on a weekend you better get on it. If you don't have twenty guys you don't have to charter the boat. They can always fill up the boat with other people. Pick a number and try to reserve the spaces. Tim.

I've heard very good things about Flash sportfishing, and it's a smaller boat, so 10 people probably is a fairly full load.  Not sure where they are berthed.

Thanks for the leads, guys.

And no, Mooch, I will not bring a banana on board the charter.  Personally, I do not believe the banana thing, but I do not want to piss off the captain or other passangers.

As a matter of fact, I am going to bring a banana or two on my kayak at the Elk tourney.  Then, when I catch the super-phat winning ling, all will know this banana thing is false.

Later, Sean
