I'm in too! Are there other species around if the salmon bite sucks?

Rockfish, lingcod, and halibut are there, too. That's the backup plan, but I'm not giving up easily. I know the fish are there, so I'm ready to go to work!

That's where I launched. You can sneak by the right side of that gate. It's about 33-34 inches wide. My Outback just snuck through.

Has anybody launched from the end of Wharf Rd?

I haven't launched from there, but I know people do. Brighton is about as easy a launch as you'll find. If there's any shore break, the other spot is an option. Adds about a quarter mile to your paddle, but no big deal.

We're gonna paddle into the right place at the right time AlexB, you watch! Salmon is my real priority as well. I'm geared to get 'em.

This is prime salmon territory, you can get rockfish anywhere


Wharf Rd is a nice launch, a little more isolated but never had any problems there myself. Great town but there are some real cases walking the streets, had a strange one getting worked up at me this last trip, was a walking talking meth monologue

Rolling into the mouth at the end of the day is nice

plus some good opportunity there to surf a yak

 I'm planning to show up at the end of Brighton Ave at about 5:45. With sunrise around 6:45, we should have some usable light by 6:15-ish.

Sounds like the party boat crew bagged a fish per rod out on the Marin Co coastline in lake-flat conditions today.
