I have the Hobie Sidekick Ama for rough tournament days etc. The center bar is permanently mounted behind  the seat  The bar seems like a good place to put rod holders etc. I think I've seen stuff mounted on the center bar on other Revos but can't remember specifics.
If you have a good setup mounted on an Ama center bar, please post up some pictures

Thanks

I'm guessing it's not the same sort of bar for the Sidekick as the AI, but maybe Pat R. would be willing to make you a custom mount like he did for the AI's.  They really are bad ass  :smt002  Second to that might be a RAM rail mount, but i'm very displeased with my RAM products at this point, since none of them stay in any position I want them to be in.

I would be careful mounting things to the ama bar considering how it's mounted to the yak.  I remember reading a cautionary statement about not lifting the yak by the bar when I installed mine a couple years ago.  If there was a way to get under the bolts and install a backing plate to strengthen the mount, it could be made stronger but I don't see how that would be possible.  Trusting those two "blind" Hobie well nuts to hold anything beyond the amas which don't really place much strain on them might be asking for trouble IMHO.
