25lb mahi hawaii

this was my biggest mahi so far. caught on dead opelu. with my penn power stick plus and my penn 950ssm. i use 100lbs red power pro to a 80lbs floro carbon leader to 90lbs surflon coated steel leader to 5/0 owner ahi twist bait hooks. this bad boy gave me a hell of a fight. was going to come into halweiwa harbor when a pile of birds started working i turned toward the pile and 5 minutes later. bam he fought for about 50 minutes and just wouldnt give up. in the end he tore my gloves and cut my hand on one last ditch effort as i was handling him in. i got more pics at  www.coastalkayaktours.com   aloha  Boogie-D
