In case you missed the July Kayak Chronicles in Western Outdoor News, you can see it now at http://www.outdoorscribe.com/WON%20ling.htm

Thanks to all who contributed!

The calendar has finally flipped to July. Rockfish and lingcod are fair game statewide. At long last ocean kayak anglers who live north of Lopez Point are free to go after the monsters that haunt their dreams.

Monsters? With their freakishly oversized heads, mouthfuls of savage teeth, crocodilian tails, vicious attitudes that embody naked aggression, and flesh that often has a sickly blue-green hue, calling big lingcod monstrous seems appropriate. It’s no wonder the largest specimens of these fish, anything 15 pounds or better, are colorfully called lingosaurs.

I must say it was an honor to even be mentioned in the same article as Sean, he is a way better fisherman than I am.

I hear ya bro, this year has not been as good as last year for me fishing wise. No buts, no lings, no salmon, no stripers... I am hoping Elk and Mendo will make my year.

Bill, I'm in the same boat.  I don't know about you, but I'm a little busy at home these days.  :)
