Lake is at 9% and dropping ;0)
The ramp should be closed by labor day so you won't have to worry about lake lice.
Fishing will be good when the level settles ... Use jigs and creature baits ... Or if you don't know how to fish, you can resort to senko's .
Call me if you want to try some better water ;0)

See Ya Soon,

I went for an evening/night trip about a week and a half ago and it's super low. I used the third ramp which I've never even seen before. It was slow, but there was an evening bite. I got a couple small bass on the Rapala working the Madera side and another one flipping a mud bug. Once night came, a few of the bankies pulled in some decent cats. You should still be able to get some fish.

If you go out night fishing make sure you remember where the ramp is. With no lights on the ramp, not many bank anglers/boaters and no moon, it took me about 45 minutes of "hugging the bank"to find my truck. It was pretty funny asking folks, "do you know where the ramp is?"

just heard today that the ramp is closed now. Big bass are being caught as of last week. Im gonna try n go this weekend with the yak n see if its true. They have a two fish 15" or larger to keep bass. Try n get a couple for meat this trip. Eastman lake is a 20 min drive and is a trophy bass fishery. 22" to keep one bass. So, the fish are supposed to be bigger there, but I have caught my two PB at Hensley this last year, 6.2 and 7.0.
