Lexington MBF 7-29-2006

Let's all hook-up at Lexington resevoir (between San Jose and Santa Cruz on highway 17) for a little bass fishing.

So MolBasser, you gonna let us all in on where the big fish hang out in that lake?  i never seem to have much luck in that place after spawn for the bass. 

I've never fished for bass there myself, and only been on the lake once (sad given its proximity).

Mooch and I fished it for crappie once, weather was crappy and I got skunked.  Mooch got one.

It looks really bassy though.

check the sniffer, those float tube boys nail 'em on a regular basis. when they are not catching albies from shore in capitola that is...

The biggest trout I caught in lexington this year was a Bass, but as Greg notes, it was probably caught during the spawn.

Every basser that I talk to that has fished that lake really likes it.

There is a healthy population from all I've heard.

It should be a fun event.

I fish it quite often and ther are some nice bass out there. The small guys are absolutely ferocious!! The big guys are in there too but they're no dummies. I've seen some people pull some huge bass out of there. Here's a baby I pulled out of Lexington who'll be a monster some day.

That's about the size of fish I got during the tourney.

Looks like last years spawn was pretty good.
