When i hadn't even gotten my yak wet yet a member by the name of Rider was nice enough to take time out his day to teach me how to self rescue myself if i were to ever fall or capsize while out and about and i thank him for that. from what i am understanding is that this is probably one of the most important skills that an individual can possess. He was nice enough to take the time to teach me and I want to my part as I am seeing a bunch of new names pop up on the boards (i am new also so don't think i am experienced by any means) but i know i can self rescue quickly and easily. I want to pass the buck and teach any other people that may want to practice or have yet to become proficient with this very very valuable skill.  I am putting this out there to gauge what day might work best to cater to everyones different schedules. I am available on weekends (sunday after 2 o clock and Saturdays pretty much all day.)

what dates will work for you guys(guys that are interested)
I will have it at Lake Natoma most likely as it has a nice beach and the water is calm and easy to practice in.  I will probably go about it the same way the Rider did with me and do a little fishing in the morning then when it heats up we can get in the water and go through the motions.

Thanks all leave some dates for all of us to consider.

I think that this is an amazingly generous thing to do.  I work retail so my schedule is always changing.  You set the date and I will do my best to be there.  Thank you so much in advance.  :fish

Just a quick reminder for anyone that may be interested I will be giving a self rescue class tomorrow morning 7 'oclock at Negro Bar at Lake Natoma. Do a little bass fishing early on then when the heat of the days sets in we can hop in and do some self rescue. Hope to see you there.

oh i think it is like 10 bucks maybe a little less to park for the day.
thanks for your time and have a great day. Hope to see you there.

we were probably foishing in the back narrow canals to the right of the public beach area across the lake, we came out to the main body of water to do the self rescue at about 10ish. something came up and i had to bail shortly after that, sorry that you werent able to find us.  it was me and one other person and we even launched an hour later than we said we were going to.
