OK this is real! My hobie is packed and I'm headed north tomorrow.  I should be in Arcata on Monday night.

Fishable days are likely Wednesday through Friday of next week - maybe Tuesday.  I'm definitely planning on Trinidad at least one day.  I hope to hook up with old friends and make some new ones, too.

I'm northbound on I5 after church.  Spend Sunday night in Berkeley, then up on 101 Monday.  :smt006

kewl ... made it to Berkeley in one piece ...  Not sure about Tuesday --   That depends upon what shape I'm in (arrival time/drive issues) and when I get to Arcata.  I may need to get some gear as well.   I do have some mooching rigs (and banana weights) in my possession. --

I've done the salmon thing from a kayak exactly twice, in tow with Eric - copying what he did and relying on him for instruction.  :smt003  (supervision)

Hope you get the pedals fixed ...  How did you break the pedal?  What part broke?

Dave - Here's my reco for this week:

- Wednesday - go to the Cape with me if I can get all my honey-do's done!
- Thursday and Friday - consider hitting the Klamath estuary for some salmon action and a cultural experience.
- Trinidad is always there for rockies and lings, but salmon has been tough out of there lately - Eureka too.
- I'd suggest your maiden Cove trip, but my wife would kill me.   :smt003

See you soon.   :smt001

Eric that sounds like a killer adventure!!    :smt003  -- Sledge -- Interested to hear how this goes, since I'm starting to see sme wear on my drive.  Not bad but normal stuff.       :smt004

Finally -- it was nice to know the yak survived the night in the hotel parking lot here in Berkeley!  It was still up there (locked to the rack, mind you) this morning.  I considered putting it INSIDE the Prius (yes it fits) but opted not to.

Yeah -- up 101 today to Arcata.   :smt006

Just landed in Arcata -- definitely not going to make an early morning tomorrow (tues), too much to do here at the house. (I have my honey-do's, too :smt005 ).   Eric -- will touch base about Wednesday and beyond.  :smt044
