I started out at about 8:30am.  My buddy and I headed out straight to the Whistle buoy, which is where there was supposedly hot salmon action.  Turned out that there was not hot salmon action for me or most other boats out on the water.  Paddled over to the Bell buoy to target rockfish.  VERY slow.  I got  copuple of fish.  My friend hurled and paddled in.  I was determined to catch some damn fish.  So I paddled back out between the Bell and the Whistle and found the fish.  Mostly blues and blacks, with a couple of Chinas and underlings thrown into the mix.  The action was pretty hot with lots of double hookups and fish coming up to the boat.  So nothing big, but enough fish to feed fish tacos to my group of friends for two nights at the campground.

My wife and a couple of other friends went out on a charter and got skunked on Salmon.  They did get a few rockfish.

On the way back, we stopped for lunch in Garberville.  My lame-ass Blazer would not start back up.  Had it towed to Fortuna, we rented a car, and made our way back to Davis fairly late on Tuesday night.

The good news about this is that I have to pick up my lame-ass Blazer this Saturday and will fish Shelter Cove again on Sunday.  Any takers?

Here are a couple of pics ...

Peace,
Sean

Just got home from a week in Tahoe so didn't see your post til now.  I'm in and should be there early.  I'll see you there if you're going.  Hopefully the salmon will bite.
