Drop Rickey Mitchell "Paddle and Flies" a line. He has fished that lake a lot.

I take the family there often. Lake Natoma is one of the finest areas to paddle in the Sacto area. It's got some huge, old trout that are pretty picky or smart. I've never been able to catch one.

Best bet is to work structure areas for bass, small and large mouth.

You'll enjoy the lake even if you don't catch anything. Have fun.
