Went out to lake Natoma for the second time, trying for trout and bass.  No action yet again, i am not planning on going back for a while.  Was there all day from about 6am till dusk-ish and couldnt even see anything let alone get a nibble  :smt013

My friend and i DID however (unfortunately) witness search teams and a couple helecopters searching for a kids body :(

I guess he jumped off Rainbow bridge and never surfaced.  The helecopter looking for him hovered right above me on my kayak EXTREMELY low and blew me into a bunch of blackberry bushes lol...that was not fun at all haha, had to go retreave my hat like 90 ft away from me lol.

I tried looking it up online and cant seem to find any articles about it which i find strange.  Did anyone hear about what happened?

This time of year you are better off going for crayfish.

Trolling by Folsom prison is where the trout are & bass are in the shallow water vegetation area with a bunch of black barriers. Dropping a Crawdad trap would be your best bet along the rocks or sandy bottom using raw chicken or bacon as bait

I just got back from an afternoon trip at Lake Natoma. Lots of bikini's and stand up boards. Fish were MIA.

Did see two very nice smallmouth below my kayak when I was tied off on trees in different parts of the main lake. Both looked like solid 5 lbers. One was at least passively interested in my senko worm, but pretty much just fat and lethargic. They don't look like they've missed many meals in this lake.

Nice day though and I don't have to think about a skunk too long since it's 10 minutes to home.
