Myself and BullShark (Gary) will be headed up Thursday eve and set to arrive early AM at Depoe for some pre-fishing. Once off the water we plan to head directly to the CG and find a spot to setup. Maybe NCKA can camp close and talk strategy. I'll turn my radio on 69 when we get to camp and see where other possible NCKA have posted up. Mike
The group will be camping at chinook bend just up the road. There is a ORC discount, 16 bucks, to camp in the group area. You will also find all of NWKA on channel 69. Announce your departure from the harbor on channel 80, "the hole" is very narrow. You can also monitor all the local traffic on channel 80.

Salmon fishing has been pretty good nearshore with lots of big bait balls and there should be summer steelhead and some cutthroats in the Siletz River next to the campground.

For all those in that plan on coming up don't forget to purchase your invasive species permit when you stop to get your license. We are all being subject to some kind of pre-launch inspection by the L.C. Sheriff.

I'm still looking for someone that may want to bomb up on Friday and back on Sunday.  If it makes a different, I'll even cover all the gas ... just looking for some company for the long drive.

Anyone?  This will be a ton of fun packed into 3 days.  Since I'll cover gas, you just need to pay for your Oregon license and some food and drink.  But even then, there will be a pig roast on Friday and a Fish Taco feast on Saturday, complete with a couple kegs courtesy of Ninkasi Brewing.  And oh, we'll be fishing on Saturday!!!  What more could you ask for?
