South Fork American 7/27/06

I fished from coloma to greenwood last night on the south fork.   I am a whitewater kayaker recently turned k1 fisherman!

we had approx 200 cfs, a good low flow, but little fish love 

so my question is, any good tips for trout in the river?   I can slay the 4" to 9" planters, but I am after the holdovers.

I am also getting ready to try for some saltwater, but need to gear up.

Where do you live? I am in Placerville and am always looking for someone to share gas with to the coast.

yea that would be cool.  I'm sweatin it out in coloma, and would love to get out to the coast to fish.

I have also been hittin up slab res, ice house, stumpy, etc.   all to little luck.
