i launched into beautiful warm weather at big sur on sat.  easy limits of reds and olives, the blues almost ate through the hull of my kayak and i farmed a big hitch hiking ling. the schools of blues and olives were incredible, when i would bring one up [from 10 feet under the boat] many others would follow, and try to eat my snap swivel!  it was a magnificent morning, we had lines in by 8am, pretty much done by 9am, i was positively giddy :smt005.   today i fished lovers point for a "shootin fish in a barrel" type of morning. there were enormous of schools of blues, suspended in about 120 feet, no structure around, just waiting to be caught, they were not big, but they were eager.

Nice fish, Chris.  It was good fishing with you again.  The fish were a great grade - some of the biggest Olvie I've ever seen.  I ended up with 6 larger RF and release several more.

PS - How did the pic of GTO's landing come out?

Sounds like fun.  Good job.
