Hello All!
I just wanted to write in to introduce myself. I was fortunate enough to meet Mike "Tote" and his lovely wife in Auburn, CA. last week  while celebrating the 4th. He introduced me to Kayak fishing and this forum. I am from Northern Nevada (Reno) and have spent most of my time either fly fishing or trolling. I really have no idea what I am doing with kayaking but am always open and excited to learn something new. I also have to young boys (5 and 7) who also share my love for fishing, the outdoors, and learning. I look forward to meeting you all.
P.S. This is officially the first blog/forum that I have written or been involved with so I apologize if I am doing anything incorrectly. Feel free to correct anything.

I should tell you that as a longstanding tradition and a part of the rites of passage for first time internet forum posters, when you meet other forum members in real life you are required to provide them with a cold beverage of their choosing.

I am defininetly a supporter of said rule. Mostly because at some point I will be on the receiving end of the "rule".

Welcome to the MerrymentandMayhem.  This is a great group of folks who Love their Yaks, fishing, Fun, diving/spearfishing, and sharing Fun experiences/adventures. NCKA has been known to be friendly to out of staters and will help feed your developing Yak fishn'divn' addiction.  I also live in Reno and would be more than happy to talk yakfisn'divn with you.

Sat next to Nate and his wife Erica at the bar at Auburn Ale House.
First of all they were at the bar, already like 'em.
They ordered their food first and it smelled delicious.
I asked what he ordered and he says, "Crab cakes, but they look more like crab balls." 
At the bar AND funny. Can it get any better?
Next thing the conversation turned to fishing (imagine that).
Got some really good intel from Nate. I offered up NCKA and I'll be if he didn't follow through exactly as he said.
Solid dude in my book.
