We get a few of these each year, but none usually so big.  Typically around 3 ft.  Yes salmon shark, and yes I have eaten them, tolerable.......

That's a killer picture! What did that salmon shark taste like? As good as a leopard?

Don't know I've never eaten leopard shark (and have no intentions of ever doing so).  I'll eat thresher, though.  Personally, I would pass on salmon shark as well, not very impressive.  Edible, but just, IMO.

Were all fins attached?

It appeared as though all the fins were attached and other parts there. A  lot of people were gathering, rolling the carcass over, etc. and a classic SC woman with highly decorated and loaded bicycle was on the bluff telling everyone to leave it alone, that the F & G were coming.
