My old gaff was begging for an updo and i had the afternoon off so i decided it was time. i sanded her all down and layed down some primer and black paint. I then wrapped the business end in grey 550 cord and the handle in neon green 550 cord. since the grey and green   is my favorite color combo i figured why not! Im gonna keep my eyes open for a nice piece of hard wood dowel to put a new handle on it but this will work for now. i like the big loop handle cause it gives me a fail safe in case i get something that resembles the great white whale one day  :smt003

Thanks! its amazing what an hour will do to make something look better than new. I have a nice piece of aluminum tubing that is gonna be the next project for a new eye straightener  :smt003
