Somewhere around the what's new section, I think.

Ahhh ... short mention in the June Newsletter of the Pro Fisha 525.  Well, more details to come this week with the official launch.

BTW, for your manufacturing questions, send email to [email protected].  Brett is pretty good at responding.

Don't know the direction other than I want a full carbon yak like my SI Raptor for the stability but lighter weight.   Can't see anything out there fits what I want.

I thought Porfisha can be a good alternative in between but if you more experienced yak fishmen have doubts, I'll stay put until and enjoy my Raptor for now.

Update:
The yaks can be any model from the stealth lineup.

That looks pretty sweet, since I'm 6'2. There has to be a few more of us that want this kind of performance  :smt102

I would definitely wait until there is a local dealer where you can actually demo it before buying. Buying a brand new kayak sight unseen is not recommended.

I suppose thats true, but with some things it's not an option. It's worked out for me thus far, as long as the due dilligence is done and a familiarity with similar products is developed. KTM does not have test rides on their dirt bikes, but after riding other bikes and pouring through reviews and specs I knew that it was the right bike, and it certainly has been. My X-factor was obtained under similar circumstances. I suppose if someone wants a faster, lighter high perfomance boat they could demo a glass touring kayak and imagine it more stable, which is my situation. I also whitewater yak so I definately have a large "tippy" comfort zone. Plus the price is quite a bit less than what they will be once their is a dealer. But I can wait if I must.  :smt012

It is a HUGE difference in stability between a 34" wide Santa Cruz Raptor and a sub 24" wide kayak. Maybe you should demo a few surf skis to see if the stability of a narrow beam suits you.

Definately not a beginner boat, but I am familiar with narrow beams and the surf on ski's, touring yaks and such. Good advice for someone who is experienced and looking for more but unfamliar with these types of boats. Or one could take a nice trip to Panama and try em out :smt003

All right, who ordered the 575?  There's one getting shipped to CA!

On another note, here are some figures on speeds from recent test runs with a GPS ... http://www.stealthpp.co.za/all-3-pro-fishas-speed-tested-analysed/ .

I wonder how they are getting it here. The price I was quoted was 4-4,5 which is more than a pretty penny. The 525 sounds perfectbat 6'2" 200.  We got an importer yet?
