I am getting all BUTT-HURT over this wind keeping the SC-BUT bite down....
I am thinking about a 2 night tent outing on a good kayak BASS lake that has some bucket-mouths in it, one  that is within a 4-5 hour drive from Santa Cruz...

Clear Lake!  You can camp at the state Park and at least two other places (forgot the names).

Clear Lake.  Its about 3 1/2 from SC.  Best bass fishing I ever had.  Huge cat fish as well.
Take some, but save some for later.
