Hi this is newyakr. I am hoping that I can get a little help identifying a type of sinker a buddy of mine used today fishing for striper.  It's a disc with a pyramid weight molded into it.  He called it a fender weight, but I can't find any matches to that name at any online tackle stores.  Don't have a picture of it, but it comes right to the surface when you reel in, diminishing the chances for snagging.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

They are called Rising sinkers very old school they used to be everywhere but I haven't seen them in years. They don't cast or hold bottom very well. Used a lot in snaggy rivers.  Some guys sorta make there own version by smashing half a bank sinker in a vise forming a wing.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.
