hey everyone.  I have been lurking on here for a while after my buddy bought a few 10' lifetime kayaks and we set them up for fishing.  After having good luck crabbing out of bodega bay, and catching bass out of a yak I got hooked.

over the weekend I scored a deal on a hobie outback and I am about to start the modification process.  which will probably become an obsession if my hobie is anything like my Mustang or Supra. For now I just got the turbo paddles and the sail rudder, but I am already thinking about building a rod / ice box colder and mounting a FF.

here are a few pics from lake sonoma from last summer when I got back into fishing after more than 15 years without pickup up a rod.

I look forward to rock fishing and hopefully salmon fishing out of my outback!

Welcome aboard. 15 years without picking up a rod and no withdrawal symptoms?
See you OTW soon.

Welcome!  You're gonna love that Outback and yak fishing even more.

Btw, hope you have one of them mid 90's TT Supra....those are bad to the bone.  That was my favorite car growing up.

See you on the water sometime.

thank you everyone!  I also look forward to meeting some of you to learn how to safely fish in salt water out of my yak.  The swell and wind have kept me off the water but hopefully the weather changes and I can get out there with some of you.

Scottie, no worries, summer's just around the corner. The wind and the seas will lay down and we will have our way with them.

Look out fish, Scottie's gonna beam you up.

I am in love with the mirage drive.   I was able to catch 2 small mouths trolling crank baits while traveling to my fishing spots.  Covering ground is super easy, and the weeds do not seem to be an issue for the mirage drive.

ocean cove on saturday pending weather.
