5 dollars  launch only,   no parking

10 dollars includes parking for one car  and launch fee for up to two kayaks...  so car pool to save a few $

I thought the $10 includes launch fee.

So from what you said, it costs $15 to launch one kayak and park, but only $10 to launch two kayaks and park.  Should I put an extra kayak on top of my car?   :smt002

Yup! It coast $15 bucks to park and use the small craft launch for 1 vehicle and 1 kayak. I believe what the parking attendant said, that  they were getting a lot of traffic on that side and had some problem with parking and that's why they would wave the parking fee if you have two kayaks to launch and one vehicle to park and only if you launch the two kayak you get the free parking. She was really nice about it and she only ask us to stop by the gate shack before we left so she could issue us a receipt for that day.

The thing i don't understand is why Bayside didn't mention anything about the new launch fee when purchasing the parking permit. And since the parking at tendent doesn't open till 9am on the west side and to avoid getting a ticket we have no other choice but to buy the parking permit at Bayside or buy one of those parking punch cards and wait to pay the launch fee when getting back to the launch. Any how i don't mind paying for the convince.

I dont think the regulars at Bayside have much respect for kayak fishermen, all I have gotten from them is rudeness and heckles

Last year I parked on the street near Aldos. It was labor day. Is there a time limit on the street?
