Sunset Beach

I'm going camping at sunset beach (Watsonville) over one of the upcoming weekend.  I know you can fish for surf perch there but was wondering if I should bring the kayaks along.  Anyone try before or know if you can launch from there? 

It's a hell of a beach landing .... 

Maybe drive up to capitola or moss landing to launch !!

Elkhorn slough would be worth a paddle.

Might get lucky and find a halibut close to capitola Or a striper from sunset beach

I've heard of some perch and a few stripers in the area!

ditto on the perch and strippers...my buddy caught a surf stripper lately ,..good luck

so yeah... reading between the lines I'm sure you've figured out what no one has said outright:  not a place to launch 'yaks.  I suppose you could try, but more than anything, the campground is up on the bluffs and you have to take stairs down to the beach.
