Bass lake 5/19/13

Well it's no Shelter Cove but I got a few nice Kokanee and one rainbow in 45 min on my first time out fishing from a paddle yak, usually I'm in my hobie, but once I got pole placement figured out it was easy. I didn't stay in the lake trolling long because there was some antique wooden boat show going on and the wake those things make is scary to be around in a yak.

Nice.  Did you have to get down deep?  I fished that lake a couple of years ago and caught a lot of bass and trout on a
imitation  shallow crayfish along the shoreline.  It was ok until the pbs came out, then it was wash basin time.

They were caught 17 ft down

I'm thinking about it, but melones is a big lake, I'd have to follow you to find the kokes.
