saturday on the sonoma coast day of days !!!! for this small group of divers

Got out yesterday with good friends Greg,  Jason,  and Brandon,  and  Charlie.   The conditions were ideal -  very little wind,  virtually no swell,  and a bight sun over a clear sky. Jason and I had the spot lined out,  so we met up with Charlie and wasted no time heading for the water.  After about 30 minutes in the water Greg had his first limit of trophy abalone over ten inches and one of those ab's went 11.138 what a day for Greg. The rest of us did well to Charlie a limit of tens his second ever, Jason and Brandon each managed a ten incher each and I got a limit of tens as well my first from sonoma county all my others were from mendo. So the fishery is healthy !!! this is the second 11 inch abalone taken this year from the sonoma coast and I know of over 30 tens taken. So who ever said the fishery is not healthy is full of it !! just get off the beaten path and find your giant ab spot cause they are out there.
