One of my buddies in the central valley sells wood as a side business.  I was out visiting him today and picked some up his "scraps" for my trip to GS.

His scraps include pieces that were either too small, irregularly shaped, or for some reason weren't able to be included in the cords he sells to his customers.  It's mostly almond wood and while it didn't pass the test to be commercially sellable there were some nice pieces and it will make a good fire.

I won't have much room to take extra wood to GS but if anyone in the area is interested in buying some of the scraps (or even non-scraps) I'll probably be heading out to the valley a couple more times before GS.   I go out there pretty often so even if you need it after GS let me know.

Since I wouldn't be doing this for any profit for myself you'd have to come pick the wood up from my house unless you live pretty close to me and it would have to be worth the effort of me driving out to where he has it stored...please don't ask me to bring you just a small amount.

I'm sure you'd be satisfied with the quality of the wood and the price.

how much does the scrap go for? I could use a few pieces the next time you go for my smoker.

How does $60 for about half of my truck bed sound?  I drive a tundra so half a truck bed is quite a bit.

I won't go all the way out there for any less than that amount.

PM me with any questions.

Haha sounds like a great price but way more than I was thinking. That's why I mentioned the next time you're heading out there, a few pieces. No worries if it doesn't happen though.
