Hi Anglers:

I launched out of the west Harbor around 6:30 AM. Inside of the Harbor close to "Jaws" there was a lot of Bait. I dropped my Anchovy rigged with a Stinger rig to try for a Butt. I gave up when a herd of Seals came in
for Breakfast. I was pumped because of all the Bait in the water and wanted to head for the one mile Can.
The pea Soup and, Pwr. Boats kept me in close to the shore. I checked my secret decoder Ring's compass for a heading and paddled  to the Pier. Fisherman on the Pier were catching Blues and some big Jack  Smelt. The Pier looked like a fun place to take the family except, for the Fog horn!
I paddled to the Kelp beds and worked the outside where I hooked up several rock fish in about 20 pulls . I try to release anything that is <20 Lbs. I eat a lot of canned Tuna and kipper Snacks. :smt002
My bait didn't last very long in the kelp beds so i paddled to the light House. The kelp was so thick the Yak
was almost out of the water. I reached Steamers where Surfers were catching some nice 5' sets. I was taken
back by how close the Surfers were to the rocks.
The fog cleared so I paddled up to deeper water, about 55 pulls. I dropped my Stinger rig and within 10 min. I hooked up but, it was a king fish. By the time I re-baited the wind had changed and, pushed me
about one mile south of the light house. I took a few swell over the Yak which really surprised me.
I  decided to have lunch with the Otters . By Noon it was quite lovely but, my hands started to cramp.
Nothing to take home except memories.

Hi Norm:

I really need a trip out this Season. Family checks have prevented me from going out.
Any day on the Yak is better than being stuck in Silicon Valley except for, when I lost it at Linda Mar
in the Surf! :smt005
