I just pulled my 2013 fishing license and ab card out of a waterproof/light tight container and they are both already faded to blank! WTF. Not sure what the protocol is on this. I wrote my name and drivers license number on them. Anyone else have this problem? I already put holes in all the tags.

Do I need to get a new one. This new system sucks so much.

Have not heard of them going blank but if they get to hot they turn black.since its all run on a cal i.d./license I would think you could go any where that sells licenses swipe your i.d. and pay for a new replacement.

My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I had my hunting license do that last year, with all the added crap it was another 30 some odd bucks for the duplicate. I wish the would just issue a DFG, card then it can be reloaded every year, or if you Eff up that can make it in valid!

I believe heat is the cause here.

Last year I paid about 14 bucks to replace with second rod... All they need is your photo id and a printer...

yeah but you/we shouldn't have to pay a dime extra for something we didn't create. we pay too much already for the license to begin with.

Hey Sean you can get a duplicate license anywhere licenses are sold with a valid id.

The abalone card on the other hand......

You will have to go to a local dfg office and fill out an affidavit on how many abalone you have picked and then they will issue you a new one on the spot.

I recommend the monterey office so we can dive together :smt002

2011 Albion Open 1st place
2014 Lowrance Rockfish Classic 1st place
Kayaks are cool!

Thanks Joe,

I stopped in Jenner at that store and the guy working there and I kept trying to print out a dup of my ab card and the system wouldn't let us. That explains it. I just wrote all the info on the blanks for the 3 I took yesterday. Also got a couple rockfish with my polespear after. I still have that harness if you want it.

Dying to dive with you again man! Let's do it.

Sean

I've had it happen before with my license in a not-so-waterproof bag. I think it's the little bit of moisture and some heat that cause it.
