Hey guys,
Does anybody have any rigging pics of a scupper pro.  I want to mount a FF and a handheld gps without losing access to the front hatch.  Anybody use the yak attack mounting gear?

Hey Rob,

The scupper that I got from novofish and sold to my buddy Jesse had a scotty mount and a ram ball in the middle part before the front hatch...Jesse just picked it up last night or I would go out and take pics for you...

You can kinda see the mounts in these pics:

I would think you would still be able to reach the front hatch to access your dive gear?

Good luck!!

Thanks Jim.  I'm thinking of something that can swing out of the way.  Maybe the yak attack gear.  How are you rigging your new Cuda?

The yak attack stuff is pretty cool.

Not sure yet on the cuda. Need to buy a FF first.  :smt005

Thinking of a lowrance on a Ram ball up front where they have a screw hole insert already installed (for a GoPro mount but I think I would rather have a Ram ball/FF there) and then the transducer through the front scupper maybe....

This is the ram ball set up attachment for the lowrance I'm thinking about...thinking I would be able to pop the whole thing off and stash it for launches/landings and just the wires would be sticking out of the hull.

Looking forward to see how you set yours up Rob!

Sorry to thread jack but Jim I think your to tall to use a front scupper it would be in the way of your feet especially If you were to use the lowerance scupper kit. That thing sits about 1/2" above deck. If your set on using a front scupper and handy I have a DIY set up that's solid and only the cable sits up above deck.

Thanks Mike! I was checking it out last night and it seemed like the foot peg position that seemed comfy to me still kept that front scupper area clear....I will be paddling it this saturday though so will double/triple check and see.

To be honest...If there is a better way to do it WITHOUT using the scupper I would be down. I like having water that crashes on top of me from waves exit the yak as quickly as possible and the large scuppers on the cuda seem to work great for that so would be a shame to plug one up with a transducer...

Maybe one of those stick on the inside of the hull thingys...

Thanks again, and sorry for the mini-thread jack Rob!

Might consider the duct seal with transducer inside the hull mount option.  I do have one of the Lowrance scupper transducer mount kits at home if you wanty to try it.

Hook1 has that Liberator so you can hang the transducer over the side.  It wouldn't work too well in the kelp I'm guessing.
