Taking a trip to be rip vista area. It'll be my first time there on my yak. Rookie questions: do I need an anchor? How hard would it be to paddle with the flow?

Anyone goin out there today?

Thanks in advance.

Well first you will need a time machine to go back a day :smt044  then you will need a release anchor setup if you plan on fishing  the river unless you just tie up in the tulles and fish for stripers. It isn't too difficult to paddle against the flow as long as you try to stay out of the major current. Check the tides and go the direction of the tides it makes it much easier and MAKE SURE YOU are dressed for shit to happens. I usually go in chest waders in the delta

Good Luck
