My Japanese nephew living in Hiroshima linked me a kayak his buddy just bought.
A "Raptor Kayaks" Falcon 14.
Spec is 19.5kg or 42.9 lbs.
430cm length (14.1 ft.)
70 cm beam (27.55")

I did a lot of google searching, but could not find reference to it anywhere outside of the Japanese pages. Is this an OEM version of something else?

Website brags that it is made by FRP, same material as boats (fiberglas, core mat(?), epoxy, vinyl ester gelcoat).
Says you can patch it with PE.

Says it is one FAST S.O.B.

Here is the actual pic of my nephew's friend's boat. Looks like a Ferrari!

Beautiful looking boat, the website sure is an interesting mix of English/Japanese.

That's what made me wonder if it is just a re-branded boat made somewhere else, but I can't find anything about it.

Still looking for more info online and found a couple of YouTube videos. First is the way a guy launches and lands his Falcon 120. LOL, must be light...

And then, not really related (although those are said kayak on the rack), but check out the electric assist rack!

So I'm wondering if it is so much lighter. Where do they save the weight. Are they thinner plastic. And if fiberglass or carbon fiber is used will they crack easier and are they harder to fix. I think I'd wait a few years and see.
