I find it interesting that this poll has

Nor Cal Kayak Anglers at 22

when the other poll has NorCalKayakAnglers.com with more votes than both .com variants.

I also find it interesting that only 1 person voted for NOR CAL and that's the title on the masthead logo.  Nobody like the current masthead?

I think a lot of it stems from the perceived question,
In this post it is perceived as that you are asking how we communicate with others about the site, while the other post that you are asking how we see the site. A lot of this is poss. due to the first few responses or just the options in the poll its self.

Ummm .. the question posed was "which do you associate with the site?" and the other question was "which do you prefer?".  The options are essentially the same.

NorCalKayakAnglers.com in both.
Nor Cal Kayak Anglers in both.
Added the NorCal Kayak Anglers variant in the other as there was some question whether the "true form" is NorCal or Nor Cal.

I dunno ... maybe people associate something different than they prefer?  Really?

How do we communicate with others about the site?  I saw a lot of comments about NCKA.org, but relatively few votes for it.  So I don't think it's that.

BTW, I mean "both non .com variants" in my last post.  Typo.

  If I run across someone with a kayak, and a conversation starts, I'll ask them if they know about NCKA, if they don't then I'll tell them to search for "NCAK.org"
