Here is the water conditions from a few days ago on Gloryhole Sports website;

Water Conditions:  New Melones Lake is currently holding 1,573,753 acre-feet of water. The lake level dropped close to one foot this week, and is currently at 1010 ft. above sea level and 77 ft. from full.  Water temperature is warming daily with the average being 54-56 degrees and some parts of the lake 58-60 degrees in the afternoon. The lake is clear, to slightly stained with some debris floating on the surface.

I was JUST sitting here contemplating a kayak trip to LDP since it has decimated every boat I have ever owned, rented, borrowed or otherwise.  Figured the kayak might break that evil $itch!

Water was 60-61 Saturday morn and 64 thurs afternoon. Bring your crappie gear in case the kokes don't wanna play there biting like mad. Gloryholesports just shared a 2.1lb slab.

Mike,
Were you talking about the Cove below the 49 lookout on the NE side of the bridge where the old roadbed is for the crappie?

No launch at the free hand launch (tou. Cal. Side of 49)head out from there go left under the bridge stay left and go to the back of the cove that parallels the hwy
