Son Needs Free dive partners

My son is now working  at the Cal Fire station at Carmel by the Sea----yeah I know rough duty!  After years down near Temecula he has finally gotten back to the ocean and has started free diving.  Being a fireman/medic he has plenty of time off and is certainly in a good location.  He is looking for partners to hook up with.  He is still pretty green at this but has been getting plenty of water time and is also training in water rescue drills etc. on his job.  If any of you brothers would be interested in hooking up with him it would be appreciated.  He has yak fished with me and I know a yak is going to be in his future.  PM me if you would like to do this.-----Jeff

Me and some buddies dive down that way pretty frequently and he would be welcome to come out and join us.

Would be more than happy to show your son around.

Bigjim usually gets in the water at 5-5:30 am which means you gotta pick him up at 4:30 am.

Thanks guys I'm gonna tell him to join the forum.  We are fishing the mid fork of the Stanislaus next week so I will have time to talk with him.  I would feel better about his diving if he went with partners.  I Used to dive all over So Cal and the Channel Islands before I moved to Morgan Hill 20 years ago, and I always went with a buddy.------Jeff

i imagine this winter there will be tons of dive hookups so yea , your son joining the forum will be the best thing if hes looking for dive partners. theres different skill levels too so no newbie gets left behind.

So...I'm sitting around drinking beer yesterday at my buddy Jesse's little sister's birthday party and one of my good buddies starts telling me that his wife's brother in law asked him if he knew BigJim!

 

Turns out my good buddy Gabby's wife's sister is married to your son!

Small world! Gabby and his brother Miguel have come out fishing off the kayaks with me several times and met a bunch of NCKA guys at the DOTY awards ceremony last month.

Jeff, tell your son to call me up whenever he wants and we'll get out there and try and chase some fish together.
