Any one want to go fishing saturday or sunday? My GF is out of town this weekend so going to hit it hard, saturday I have commitments that evening as well as I work swing friday night, but thinking of hitting Melones, either tuttle town or I might check out parrots ferry as there is the old road you can launch from, and then sunday i$ thinking either cherry, or maybe salt springs, ( with lower bear as a back up in the event the gate is closed.

Also I'd be down to try some gold panning too as I know a few of the guys up my direction do that too

The Parrots Ferry road has been closed for years. The walk down is easy but up is a beyotch. Do you have any info about it being open again? It would sure open up the east end of the lake. What about Camp 9 bridge? Is there any way to launch there?

I'm booked Saturday, but think I'll try Tullock or Melones Sunday. At Melones I've done ok putting in under the bridge, fwiw.

Fish farmer,
I did tulloch last sunday, unless it was planter reciently I'd go else where, buddy and I paddled from the tulloch damn to the melones damn, probably 10 or 11 miles total and only had 3 planters to show for the effort.

If I could twist your arm to go to cherry, that should be real good right now, otherwards, I suppose I could do melones 2days in a row, any ways my cell is 530 574 5502, give me a call and we can figure something out.

Haha ... normally my arm twists pretty easily. I'll have to give cherry some thought. 2.5 hours compared to 45 minutes ... ouch.

Don Pedro, Pardee, Comanche, New Hogan ...

I actually saw a decent report for Tulloch recently. How deep were you fishing?

Cherry is enticing since I've not been there, but man, I'll have to think about it.

I had seen some good reports too. Beardsly is be much better though.

I fished from surface to 4 lead core line colors out. I picked up a fish 3 colors out at the damn in the first 10 minutes, then buddy caught one 2 colors out 2 hours later mid lake, and then I picked one up on the shallow rod, was about 10 feet down, mid lake on the way back in.

Text or call me if you want to go, today with the swing I decided to sleep in , and am going gold panning right now
