I launched around 8:00am not much morning action. I was throwing swimbaits, crankbaits, dropshots and senko's with no luck. At noon I hooked into my one and only bass on a dropshot rig using  a 4.5" roboworm. The entire lake was covered with algae bloom.

Nice bass, seems early for algae, but with no rain and all sunshine that would do it

Nice meeting you out there today Bones.  There were a couple other NCKA guys there today too.  Novofish and I don't recall the other.

I caught one fish as well.  I'll post up the photo soon.  The fishing was tough until after 1pm.  From then until 4pm, when I got off the water, I saw many folks catching bass.   The fact that I actually caught one too is testament that the bite was on.  I got mine on a 5" Texas rigged worm.  I saw others catching them wacky-style and still others on cranks and rattletraps.   I think the thing that turned the tide for the bite was the cloud cover.  Got very cloudy and felt like rain with almost zero wind.

Nice bass Bones!
Sorry I didn't get to see everyone out there.
Did talk to Al, Jerry, and Glenn. :smt001 :smt001
Got a late start launching at 11am.
Started sticking bass right away, my biggest being a 10 incher LOL! :smt044
Ended up casting to a rising rainbow and got the grab from a feisty planter.
Missed another good grab right before I left at 3:30.
Only brought 1 fly rod and a few flies, with no fish finder.
I realized I f'ed up when I saw the bite was on and folks were sticking 5lber's dropshotting, cranking and throwing swimbaits.
I'll be back soon.

I had a nice morning on the water. The weather was great. I got two good hits on a Senko, but both let go. Greeted Tony at the ramp on my way out. Bought an annual pass so I'll be back soon.

Bummer Scott I was looking forward to fishing with you again. Next time bro

Nice meeting you out there today Bones.

It was nice meeting you too. Looks like there's going to be a fish & chill at Rancho Seco on St. Patrick's I hope you can make.

Yeah Craig it was my first fish on the new ride. I love how this boat glides on the water. I Just need to get use to sitting on something that's 29" wide compare to 34" like my old Big Game.
